1950’s Alvar Aalto Lounge Chair 406
Created by design visionary Alvar Aalto in 1939, this armchair is affectionately referred to as the Pension Chair because it allows the user to be in a state of “retirement”. The cantilevered birch frame, solid birch cross rails and linen webbed seat create a chair made for total comfort and relaxation. Lightweight but constructed with durability in mind, Armchair 406 is a timeless design that is well-suited in any space.
